Akhuwat House Loan
The government of Pakistan has launched a housing scheme through the Ministry of Housing & Works with a total fund of PKR 7 billion, of which PKR 7 billion has been released and disbursed.
The scheme provides financial assistance to poor and deserving families through Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance (AIM), a Shariah-compliant product. Poverty-impacted people will receive economic and social assistance through this program.
The Scheme has the following salient features:
- A loan size of up to Rs. 500,000 is available.
- The repayment period varies from 13 to 60 months. We would appreciate an early repayment.
- Renting a room costs an average of Rs. 10,000/month.
- A variety of purposes will be financed, including:
- Complete new construction or a new lanter.
- Room additions, kitchen and bathroom renovations, etc.
- Upgrading and renovating.
- There is no fee for processing the application.
Low-Cost Housing Program Eligibility Criteria
The scheme requires applicants to meet the following criteria:
- Valid CNIC
- Maximum age of 60 years
- Land/house owners must apply
- Title to land or evidence of house ownership (such as a Registry Certificate, Inteqal certificate, Fard certificate, Allotment letter, etc.)
- The land size must be 5 marlas or less, or the covered area cannot exceed 1,360 square feet.
- A good moral and social character within a community
- Up to Rs. 60,000 in monthly household income.
- Residence in the AIM branch’s operational area.
- A clean credit history is required (if any).
- In this case, widows and families with a monthly income less than Rs. 40,000 may be given preference.
