Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) announces Hungaricum Scholarships for undergraduates, Masters, and Ph.D. Programs. As part of the Hungarian Government’s Higher Education and Scientific Exchange Program (2024-25), a Hungaricum Scholarship Program (2024-25) was launched for Bachelor’s, One-Tier Master’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. studies.
HEC Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2024-25
Tempus Public Foundation, Hungary, and the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, manage the program. Online applications must be submitted by January 15, 2024. The scholarship is open to candidates who have passed the HAT or USAT tests. Candidates who still need to take HAT or USAT can apply for the January/February test.

HEC Hungaricum Scholarship Types
Scholarships are available through the Hungaricum

Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship HEC Covers
- Education without Tuition Fees: tuition fees are not charged
- Monthly Stipend
- Scholarships for Bachelors and Masters: According to current Hungarian legislation, a doctoral student’s monthly salary is HUF 43,700/- (around EUR 130) for the first four semesters of education and HUF 180,000/- (around EUR 530) for the second four semesters, for 12 months.
- Accommodation: A dormitory place or a monthly contribution of HUF 40,000
- Medical insurance: Hungarian legislation defines health insurance cards and health care services (Act No. 80 of 1997).
Eligibility Criteria For HEC Hungaricum Scholarship 2023 24
- Applicants must be Pakistani/AJ&K citizens.
- For undergraduate programs, applicants must be between 18 and 22 years old. To qualify for postgraduate master’s (18 years) and doctoral programs, applicants must not be older than 35 on January 15, 2024. The maximum age for Ph.D. students in public sector universities, colleges, and research organizations is 40 on January 15, 2024.
- Bachelor’s (Undergraduate Program) and One-Tier Master’s degree applicants must have completed HSSC/Intermediate or equivalent.
- Applicants must have completed 16 years of undergraduate education to apply for a Master’s (Postgraduate Program).
- Applicants must have completed 18 semesters of degree study or an equivalent degree to qualify for admission to the Ph.D. Program.
- There should be no blank columns or fields on Hungary and HEC applications.
- IBCC and HEC must attest certificates/transcripts/degrees for attachment. IBCC O & A level equivalence is required.
- Scores of IELTS/TOEFL as required.
- The applicant must submit a medical certificate certifying that they are not infected with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis A, B, and C, or any other epidemic disease.
- If selected for final selection, applicants must sign a bond on legal paper that they will stay in the same disciplines after receiving the scholarship. Their duties will include serving the country for a specified period after completing their degree. If the candidate fails to comply with HEC’s requirements, the candidate or their guarantor may be penalized.
- The host Hungarian university may also require other requirements, TPU/HEC/Tempus Foundation of the Hungarian Republic of Hungary.
- Candidates selected for final consideration must submit a bond agreement to HEC.
How To Apply For The HEC Hungaricum Scholarship Online?
- HEC Stipendium HUNGARICUM scholarship applications must be submitted only online at the Hungarian and HEC websites. You will only be considered for further processing if you submit the online application form on BOTH of the submitted websites mentioned in Step (1) & Step (2).
- The initial stage of the application process does not require hard copies of applications or other documents. A copy of BOTH application forms (submitted online at HEC & Tempus Public Foundation) must be kept by applicants along with all submitted documents.
- In addition to online applications submitted at HEC portals with deposit slips and Tempus Public Foundation portals, candidates must submit hard copies of all original documents later in the selection process. Applicants must also submit original medical certificates and police clearance certificates.
